Accessibility Statement
EmpowerIT ("EmpowerIT") is committed to ensuring that our website and digital services are accessible to people with disabilities. We work to meet the requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) and the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation under it, and we use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as our internal target.
Conformance status
This website is designed and developed to substantially conform with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We treat accessibility as a continuous improvement effort. Some content may not yet fully meet the standard; we work to identify and address gaps as we find them.
What we do
- Use semantic HTML, descriptive page titles, and meaningful headings;
- Provide text alternatives for non-decorative images;
- Maintain colour contrast that meets WCAG AA where practical;
- Ensure the site can be navigated by keyboard;
- Use form labels and accessible interactive controls;
- Test with screen reader and keyboard-only navigation during development.
Known limitations
Some legacy or third-party content embedded on the site (for example, third-party booking widgets, social media embeds, or video players) may not meet our accessibility target. Where this is the case, we provide alternative ways to access the same information — please contact us using the details below.
